Monity App Reviews

I tried to follow the instructions, but they don’t match the reality on my El Capitain. I open the Notifications center, there is no EDIT button. So I click the cogwheel button which opens the Notifications Settings panel. Monity is not present in this panel. I tried to go to their Help page, and it is useless: the dropdowns open in German. I happen to understand German, but there is nothing different there. I just threw away $5.

Very useful!

Everything I wanted is here, great widget! Thanks!

Does not work!

Its not working. After adding in the notification bar is a space without showing anything. Okay that is the first version, but it is disappointing.

Only a few corrections :)

Short and clear: Monity is very helpful. But I have some few corections, that can be add into a new release: - Is very good that you show the status of the HDD. The complete capacity and how much is full. I think an option where you can see the empty space (like in windows, ecause the people is more occupied seing how much space to have left) will be great. I know that logically I can rest the total space minus the full space to become the left space, but to have the result as a number in the display will be much easier to manage the space in the computer and easy to interpret. -The temperature of the computer and (if possible) the temperature from the room will be useful. Many people do not understand(as I) when the computer is on it limit. If a fan is blocked and the temperature inside the computer goes up. Many this relation between the inside and outside temperature will help us to control this aspect. Thanks!

great app

The app is great, and this update ironed out all the small kinks from the original, as well as the crash caused by the last update. Everything works as it should. A big thank you to the developer for such a quick reaction to the crash bug. I wish other developers would be as quick too. One suggestion would be to have the helper integrated directly or as an addition through an in app purchase (or free in app). The way through the external install and specially the external update, when needed, might be a bit too complicated for the average user. Then again, it’s not exactly the target user group. But still it would be an upgrade to the app.

Not working

At first it didn’t work, so I had left a bad review, but all of a sudden it start to work.

The app does not work.

The app does not work. A number of other customers have written that it does not work (at first, but may start working after an unidentified period of time). It is being sold at App Store.

it doesn’t work

waste of money

DOES NOT WORK

This does not work yet it is a recommended app? It is useless and I will not increase rating until it works. I want a refund. $0.99 is a little but it was a waste. DO NOT BUY!

Awful.

Really disappointed by this garbage.

***Dont buy*** App does not work

Waist of money… Hopefully an update in the near future will fix whatever the problem is.

Work Great For Me

It’s take time to have all information, is normal! After that, all work great, the only thing, I have 3 Hard Drive, 1 internet and 2 external, and, I have the internet and only 1 of 2 external on the notification… but for the rest… #1

Missing features Temp, Fan RPM & Deleting unneeded notifications

Works fine for me. Would like to have fan RPM and Temp as well as ability to remove specific notifications in the next update which would make it near complete.

Battery and other stats not accurate

App doesn’t work properly. For example, Yosemite tells me I have 100% battery left yet Monity is telling me I have 96% battery left. Fix it and I’ll increase the rating. Edit: They’ve fixed most of the issues with the previous version, and added lots of new functions based on feedback. Rating increased to reflect the new (positive) changes.

Previous Version didnt work on my 2011 MacBook Air

Previous Version didnt work on my 2011 MacBook Air, so I was pretty down on this app. But the current version works perfectly and does exactly what it says it does. I really like it, its visual asthetic is very nice. Im super glad the update fixed my problems, which means I didnt waste any money.

Bandwidth is measured but cannot be reset

I got this mainly for showing the network speed and memory usage and it works fine for that. The ability to show total upload/download is nice, but there is now way to reset it so that it can be used properly. Right now it is a statistic showing how much you downloaded since you installed the app. Also keeps crashing on my late 2013 Macbook Pro, so annoying.

It’s a good start

I use this as a widget more than an app so I’ll comment on that. There seems to be no way to tell what battery is being displayed. I was able to find out it was my Apple mouse, but it had me wondering what it was as I’m on a desktop (10.10.1). When you click the i it seems to give you the option to deselect items you don’t want, but you aren’t able to actually clear the boxes. I also have four hard drives but the drop down arrow does not expand to show the other two. It’s not a bad program otherwise. It has a good amount of detail but a few things to work out before I could give it a 5-star rating.

Crashes every 5-10 minutes

Pretty useless, especially considering I can’t keep working for longer then 5-10 min. No way to configure what you see on the main screen.

Memory is incorrectly reported.

I’ve a MacBook Pro i7 quad-core with 16Gb RAM and this application only shows 1.77Gb wired. Something is wrong there. It should be updated accordingly to fix this issue. Other than that, seems to work as expected. I’m running OSX 10.10.4 Yosemite.
